Belize Signs Onto Ethanol Pact

He addressed the just over UN an hour ago, but on Tuesday, the Prime Minister was in Guatemala City where Central American heads signed unto a fuel agreement with Brazil. It is a cooperation programme to be established between SICA and Brazil for the use and production of ethanol. For Belize that means that mechanisms should be put in place for the production and use of the bio-fuel.

This is not the first time that Belize has pursued an ethanol plan, the first was with Jamaica's PetroJam in the 80's and that project, though promising, never got off the ground. Ethanol is an alternative fuel produced from sugar or grains.
