We have an update on the plane crash that took three lives on Friday. A post mortem conducted today on 35-year-old Luis Rene Tam confirmed that he died of exsanguinations, meaning that he bled to death. Examiners have concluded that his tibia tore through his leg, which led to the bleeding that caused his death. Similarly, 36-year-old Douglas Scratchley bled to death in the back seat. Christy Dye-Scratchley who sat beside Tam in the co-pilot's seat died on impact from massive trauma.

The couple had been on honeymoon in Belize since November 14th after getting married in Florida on November 12th. The Civil Aviation Department continues to investigate the crash. So far preliminary findings show that poor visibility gusty weather and possible downdraft could have all contributed to the crash. Tam was on approach for the Blancaneux Lodge Airstrip, but flying too low when he crashed into the side of a mountain on the Mount Pleasant estate. The crash site is just three miles northeast of Blancaneux Lodge.
