American Retiree Murdered in San Pedro

An American man was murdered on San Pedro over the weekend, and tonight his maid and security guard are the prime suspects. Police say that around 1 am on Sunday they visited the San Pablo home of 71-year-old American Leston Langdon where they found his partially decomposed body. A post mortem conducted today showed that Langdon died from injuries to the skull. Police believe he was killed after midday Thursday afternoon. Both the security guard and the maid are suspects and have been questioned because they have given police conflicting stories. Langdon is a U.S. retiree who moved to Belize about 10 to 15 years ago. He lived alone in a four bedroom wooden house.
