They were accused of robbing and humiliating a woman police constable but after 48 hours in custody, Lester Frazer and Clarence Pascasio are free men tonight.
As we reported on Monday, the men, who are the brothers of George Frazer the man killed by Constable Donald Gillett on New Year's Day, were accused of the Sunday night attack. The WPC claimed that she was riding her beach cruiser to work after midnight when four men in a Jeep Cherokee stopped her. She claims they stripped her of her bike, her purse, and even her shoes and socks. She identified one of the men as Frazer's brother, from an interview he gave on Channel 7. Well, it seems investigators weren't convinced of that ID and the young men were released without charges. They had been picked up the day morning after their brother's funeral. Police say they continue to investigate the WPC's report.
