Every day, it seems the headlines are full of acts of personal treachery, government thuggery, corporate skullduggery and community complacency, but in our last story tonight, we'll look at things from a slightly different perspective. Everyday people lose their personal possessions, and very rarely do they get them back. But that's exactly what one just plain honest taxi-man ensured when he found a wallet in his cab. He says a woman took his cab yesterday on Princess Margaret Drive and when she left she forgot her purse. Armando Williams says he went on an all out hunt for the woman because he says it was just the right thing to do.
Armando Williams, Good Samaritan
"I looked at it and I said its the same lady that I took earlier so I said I had to find the lady because it's a wallet or something like that and it had important documents and stuff in it and I would like somebody to return it back to me too. I looked around and asked and I met up with a lady and she said she knows her because she goes to church at St. Joseph.. She told me to go and take a look at Princess Margaret Drive. So I went there and I saw a Virgin Mary on the side if her house and a man came out and said he knew the lady and she goes to church and everything and that's how I got her address and returned it back to her and she was very happy about it and I am glad about that."
Alfonso Noble,
People don't usually return these things. Why did you do it?
Armando Williams,
"That's true too but I'm not that kind of guy. I work for everything I have and it did have money it in like what she said she got back but the main thing was her important documents like what she explained to me. She couldn't stop thanking me and I was glad about that,. I understand how she feels because I have lost a couple of things and I wish I could get it back like her. I don't rob or steal from anybody. I work for what I have and like I say, if I lost my stuff I wish somebody out there would just take it to the nearest police station or something like that. Or at least got through the trouble that IO did to give back the lady her purse. So I am happy about it."
