Cyclist Knocked Down and Left Critical

A 69-year-old cyclist was knocked down and almost killed on Sunday morning. Police say the Honduran national, Juan Perez, was riding his bicycle from San Pedro to Cristo Rey Village on the Northern Highway when he was hit by 28-year-old Emore Ewan's blue Mazda. Ewan told police he was driving when he accidentally knocked down Perez. This is footage taken shortly after the accident with Ewan and police investigators on the scene. Perez is tonight listed in a critical condition at the KHMH. Ewan has been served with a notice of intended prosecution.
