Claudia Is Still Missing

Teenager Claudia Mejia is still missing tonight. Today, her mother Gloria Velasquez told us that at around 9:55 on Friday night, she received a call from Claudia who claimed that she was in Sarteneja. The mother says the girl's conversation with her was short but she claimed to be in good health and told her mother not to worry. But Velasquez says the call has not at all put her mind at ease since that was the only time she's had communication with her daughter and she detected that the girl may have been coached into the call. Police are aware of the report that the girl may be in Sarteneja but so far have been unable to confirm that. Anyone who knows the whereabouts of 13-year-old Claudia Mejia is asked to call the mother at 621-2300 or the nearest police station.
