Quick work by the police and the community has resulted in the police recovering every single piece of office equipment that was taken during the burglary at the sales tax office at the complex building on Mahogany Street. Officer Commanding CIB at the Eastern Division Police Station ASP Chester Williams explains that sometime around midnight officers made the bust.

ASP Chester Williams, C.I.B. Commander
"Last night sometime before midnight Inspector Grinage and the CIU recovered all the items stolen from the Sales Tax Department at a home in the St. Martin's Area and the other items were recovered from some other persons who we presently have detained in custody in connection with the incident. I must applaud Mr. Grinage and the CIU along with the public support that we got in this particular investigation and other investigations that we have conducted."

Alfonso Noble,
These people, did they all work together? Did it take six people to get into the office or do you all believe that they were particular people within that group that just went in?

ASP Chester Williams,
"Yes we do believe that all these persons are involved in the burglar. They are very close associates, they hang out together, so we believe they work together as a group and they went into that office and stole the items from there."

Alfonso Noble,
Was every piece of equipment recovered?

ASP Chester Williams,
"Yes every single piece of equipment was recovered."

Alfonso Noble,
Do you believe a vehicle was used?

ASP Chester Williams,
"From what we have gathered during the investigation, no vehicle was used. They backed them out manually and took it to the location where some of them were recovered."

Alfonso Noble,
Who are the people you detained and will they be charged with anything?

ASP Chester Williams,
"I will not be disclosing the names at this time because I don't believe that all six persons we have in custody will be charged. A few of them will be charged, probably four of them will be charged for sure. Not all six of them so I will not be giving any names at this point in time."

Williams says that while six people have been arrested not all will be charged with the burglary.
