28 Pounds of Marijuana in O/W Town

Police found 28 pounds of marijuana in a house in Orange Walk Town. Around noon yesterday, police received a tip that sent them to the Cabbage Street home of 48-year-old Angel Jimenez. The marijuana was found fully compressed and packaged. Jimenez was originally charged along with three other men, who were in the house with him, but today in court, he pleaded guilty to drug trafficking and was sentenced to three years in prison with an additional $10,000 fine that is to be paid forthwith or in default serve another 3 years in jail.
