They were accused of a ruthless murder on the Christmas weekend but two men who were on remand at the Hattieville Prison are free tonight. They were held for murders of brothers Donald Hamilton and Tremaine Newman, but 27-year-old Richard Gardiner and 36 year old Leni Jackson who were charged with 2 counts of murder and conspiracy to commit murder were freed of the charges when they appeared in Magistrate's Court today. Magistrate Roberto Ordonez withdrew the charges on the instruction of the Director of Public Prosecution Kirk Anderson.

Donald Hamilton and Tremaine Newman were killed at their work Belize Refrigeration Limited on December 23rd of last year.
