She was left in the rain on a stranger's verandah in Roaring Creek but a newborn is reported to be doing well tonight. She's still in the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan but the Department of Human Services has already found a placement for the child, estimated to be only four days old. And while Human Services does its part, the police have detained a woman who may be the child's mother. Details are scarce at this time, but police have two women detained tonight and are looking for one more. The mother, if she is found, could face a charge of the abandonment of infant.
