Suicide Looking Like Homicide in St. Margaret

Belmopan police are investigating the death of a man in the village of St. Margaret on the Hummingbird Highway. At around 9:30 last night police were called out to a house located at mile 35 on the Hummingbird Highway. There police found the body of a man lying on the ground with a rope tied around his neck.

The man identified as Luis Hernandez also had blood on his face and hands. So while police were originally called out to the scene after being told it was an apparent suicide, because of the blood on the man's hands and face they are investigating the possibility that Hernandez may have died as a result of homicide. Police are now looking for one person who was last seen in the company of Hernandez.
