And in Punta Gorda, at around 9 on Monday morning, 24-year-old Ike Cadle and 15-year-old Deon Woodeye along with 22-year-old Denver Gomez went fishing in a dorey. Sometime around 2 in the afternoon, they were a ways off the coast of Punta Gorda and had fishing lines in the water when the lines became entangled. While they were standing and trying to untangle the lines a wave came and caused the boat to capsize. While Cadle and Woodeye were able to swim to shore, the third occupant Gomez, was unable to. He was left near the wreck holding on to a 5 gallon gasoline container as a result he drowned. His body was found today found by a fisherman near Orange Point near the Voice of America Towers. He had been in the water from Monday afternoon, as search parties were unable to locate him sooner.
