He was tempted to touch, and now he's been ordered to pay! A 23-year-old office clerk from Orange Walk who works in Belize City reported to police that on October 25 of last year she was heading to Belize City on a Venus Bus, sitting beside a man identified as Anthony Broaster. She told police that when they reached Biscayne Village, Broaster began to caress her thigh. She got angry and asked him what was his problem. But more than asking that question, she reported the matter to the police. Broaster was then arrested and charged and appeared in Magistrate's Court number 4 today before Magistrate Margaret McKenzie.

In court Broaster testified that he was in the bus beside the complainant and did not challenge the allegations. With that, he was found guilty of indecent assault. He was fined $1,500 to be paid by September 23. He was also bound over the peace for 1 year in the sum of $1,000, meaning that he is not to harass anyone, particularly the young woman who made the complaint or risk losing the thousand dollars.
