61-year-old Hilario Eligio says police brutally beat him with a baseball bat and tonight the grandfather says he has the injuries to prove it. Eligio says that around 1:30 this afternoon police pulled up at his Morning Glory Street home and fired a shot in the direction of his 24-year-old son Frank Eligio. That is when Elario jumped in and when police turned on him. Elario says he was beaten and then taken to the police station. There he was beaten some more and ended up in the KHMH which is where we met him. In tears and in pain Hilario told us what he endured.

Hilario Eligio,
"They said when they get us to the station, after they didn't go up the road, they said they will make my son see (expletive) and when I got in, my son sat down beside me. They went and got the baseball bat and when they got the bat, he stood in front of me side on, like how you are standing, and he talked to me and when he talked to me my two hands were handcuffed. And he hit me with the baseball bat unexpectedly and I dropped off the chair."

Keith Swift,
Are you in pain right now?

Hilario Eligio,
"When I breathe it hurts me. When I talk too much it hurts me. This is the injury from the baseball bat. He hit me hard with his two hands, hard because he knocked me off the chair. These police are doing too much to people, too much. I will have to take them to court because I didn't disrespect him and he came way in my yard to come and do this."

Marilyn Eligio, Wife
"I think my husband is damaged. I think he is damaged because with the kicking and the jabbings which they were given him in his stomach and then they kneeled down on him and it was too of them. My husband is hurt."

The only good news in all this is that an x-ray showed that Eligio didn't suffer any fractures. His son frank Eligio remains in police custody tonight. Hilario will possibly face a charge for obstructing of justice.
