Abducted and Robbed in Belmopan Market Square

A Belmopan man was abducted in broad daylight in the heart of the capital on Saturday. At about 3 in the afternoon, 20 year old Leon Castillo had just finished making a withdrawal from the ATM machine and was walking to his Isuzu Rodeo when he was accosted by two men, and one of them carried a sawed off shotgun. They forced him into the SUV, commandeered it, and then drove him to a deserted area off the Hummingbird Highway. They robbed him of $50 in cash and a gold chain and then tied him to a tree. They then drove off in his rodeo, leaving him stranded. Some while later, he was able to get help, and alert the police who have not recovered the SUV.
