Fifty-three old fisherman Hilton Guy was yesterday convicted of aggravated assault and sentenced to 6 months in jail for making unwelcome sexual contact with his 14 year old neighbor.

The girl told police that on March 6th she went to Guy's house on Faber's Road and asked him for $5 to buy panades. But instead of money, Guy invited the girl into his house and asked her to scratch dandruff out of his hair. It was while doing that, that Guy made the contact.

She told the court guy would have taken it further but he was interrupted by a knock on the door from the girl's cousin. Guy gave an unsworn statement from the dock in which he denied the charges. His denial didn't convince Magistrate Harris Heulett who found Guy guilty and sentenced him to the 6-month prison sentence.

We should note that Guy has a charge of unlawful carnal knowledge pending for an incident involving the same 14-year-old girl. He'll go on trial for that charge in the Supreme Court in October.
