A driver and a security guard; brothers, Brian and Wilword Pinto appeared today in Magistrate's Court to answer charges of burglary.

Tourism village business-owners Sarika Sudurangani and Vishal Sahnani reported to police that sometime between September 14 and 17th someone broke into their "Jewels of India" booth and made off with items including cellular phones, jewelry, ornaments and digital cameras all to the tune of $29,000.

After finding some of the items during a search of the home of Adolfo Pineda, police detained the brothers. Today they were taken to court where they were charged with burglary.

After objections to bail by the prosecution, Chief Magistrate Herbert Lord asked the men to give good reason why they should be granted bail. In response Brian Pinto said that it was not only he and his brother who are responsible for the crime but that a third man whose vehicle they used to transport the stolen items had not been charged - basically a confession to say "we're guilty but so is another guy!" Most unconvincing and Lord remanded the duo to prison until October 28th.
