On April 30th of last year an argument between two young men in Lord's Bank turned deadly. 19-year-old Andre Swazo killed his former brother in law, 21-year-old Heston Castillo when he shot him in the head. Today Swazo appeared in Supreme Court to begin his murder trial for the killing of Heston Castillo.

A jury had been empanelled but before the trial commenced and with the consent of prosecutor Kamar Henry, attorney for Swazo, Simeon Sampson entered a guilty plea to the lesser charge of manslaughter. Trial Judge Troadio Gonzalez accepted the plea and discharged the jury.

Swazo is to return to court on December 5th for sentencing.

The two were arguing over Swazo's sister, with whom Castillo had a child.
