Police say that last night they foiled what could have been a bloody argument between neighbors on Jimmy Dyer Street. Around 11 pm Shanti White called 911 after two men entered her yard and pointed a sawed off shotgun at her and two other people who were in the yard.
She says the gunmen demanded to know the whereabouts of a bicycle. White was able to call police who responded before any shots were fired. On the scene police arrested 20 year old Gregory Johnson and 23 year old Leon Logan and jointly charged them with three counts of aggravated burglary and aggravated assault. Johnson faces an additional charge of keeping a prohibited firearm.
The argument was over a bicycle that someone in White's yard had allegedly taken. All involved are neighbors on Jimmy Dyer Street.
