On January 30th Alexander Palacio pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter for the killing 21 year old Wasani Belgrave. In a plea of mitigation today Palacio's father also Alexander Palacio told the court that he was partly to blame for the misdirection of his son.

He told the court that while he was able to provide for his son giving him food and shelter he was unable to supervise him properly as his mother had left the family while the younger Palacio was at a tender age.

Taking the plea into consideration Justice Troadio Gonzalez then sentenced Alexander Palacio Jr. to 16 years in prison.
