Separate funeral services were held this afternoon for 24-year-old Keeva Leslie and 32-year-old Dorian Michael, the couple who were executed on a dirt road off the Haulover Bridge on Sunday night. And just as those services were beginning, the three young men who police say committed the double murder were being taken to court.
18-year-old tour guide Jamie Chavarria, 21-year-old tour guide Danny Anderson,
and 24-year-old Edwin Flowers have been jointly charged with two counts of murder. And though police have made arrests, there are many questions still outstanding tonight. Questions such as why did the murderers target Leslie and Michael? How did they get control of the Astro van Michael was driving? And what was the motive.
Lead investigator on the case is Sergeant Clement Cacho. He spoke to the media this afternoon but was tight lipped. He confirmed that the accused trio used the van to commit a robbery, but perhaps his most startling revelation is where the couple where when they got carjacked.

"The two victims were picked up from the Hangar Area however I cannot go into much detail as the investigation is still ongoing."

So they were in the vehicle and how the three accused commandeer the vehicle?
Sgt. Clement Cacho,
"Like I said I cannot go into much details of what transpired by the Hangar Area. The investigation is still ongoing."

Were they random targets?
Sgt. Clement Cacho,
"I don't believe they were random targets."

Was it a robbery?
Sgt. Clement Cacho,
"Well on the night in question a robbery did occur involving the same van that was used in the murder."
Keith Swift,
That's why they chose the target, that they wanted the vehicle to commit the robbery?
Sgt. Clement Cacho,
"That could be a possibility."

"Can you basically tell us what happened after the robbery?"
Sgt. Clement Cacho,
"After the robbery the culprits, they went to the Haulover Bridge Area along with the deceased whereby they inflicted the fatal injuries to both Dorian Michael and Keeva Leslie."

"Did the victims know their kidnappers?"
Sgt. Clement Cacho,
"I am under the impression that Dorian Michael knew one of the culprits."
All three accused were denied bail by Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie and remanded to the Hattieville Prison until April 18th.
