Earlier on we told you about a murder that occurred late on Friday night. Well three hours later the weekend would have its second murder. 35-year-old Albert Castillo was stabbed to death. The motive is unclear but Castillo's family believes it was the oldest reason in the book -jealousy. Here's their story.

Ellie Castillo, Mother of Deceased
"It was a shocking news to me. I was not expecting this so it comes hard to me."

The news Ellie Castillo wasn't expecting came in a call she got on Saturday morning from her oldest child Edmund Castillo. He told her that his brother and her son Albert had been killed in Belize City.

Ellie Castillo,
"My oldest son Edmund Castillo called me and told me he had an unconfirmed news for me. I asked him what it is and then afterwards he told me he is not going to tell me until he came back. When he said unconfirmed news that sounded like something fishy or somebody died or what. Then afterwards he told me that when he comes back he is going to tell me more about it. He went for half hour and I was still there, I didn't get out of my bed yet, but I was still lying down and relaxing and then I said its best I get up because this unconfirmed news has me worried. So long after he called and he said Albert is dead. That is what he told me."

Edmund Castillo, Brother of Deceased
"The information that I got is that he was with the girl at the canal side hanging out and then the morning she came to my house and told me he died."

That's about all Edmund Castillo says he was told. We do know that Albert Castillo was killed somewhere between this residence on West Canal and this black Mazda 626 which is parked on the canal side. The family is unsure of the motive but they say Albert was never involved in any street crimes. His mom suspects he was caught in a deadly love triangle.

Ellie Castillo,
"I heard that Albert is a womanizer so it is one of his woman's men

that killed him. That's what I think about. That is what happened, he had too much lady so some man came and maybe he was Joe-grinding like how you said and afterwards....all of that could happen."

But Ellie Castillo and her family don't know for sure. Edmund believes there are witnesses to his brother's murder who do know but aren't saying.

Edmund Castillo,
"People saw something but they don't want to say nothing. Even if they saw it, they are afraid. Right now I've left everything with the Good Lord. People have seen and it is going to take a time to find out but we'll find out. The Good Lord won't sleep. We are going to find out who killed him. They know who killed him around there but he is a strange guy. He lives back here. He resides on Jane Usher Boulevard."

But the brothers are originally from Punta Gorda. Albert and Edmund moved to Belize City from PG for work and against the wishes of their mother. Albert's murder is her worse fearing becoming reality. She wanted her sons to remain in the safety of PG.

Ellie Castillo,
"My children's father was a fisherman. Everyday he went fishing and at least he came with one snapper. I would peel the banana if I wanted banana and I ate it. I was satisfied instead of coming here to Belize City to live and let them take your life for nothing."

Jules Vasquez,
So when your sons left you in P.G., he told me that you feared something like this would happen because Belize is so violent.

Ellie Castillo,
"Everyday I told them about it. Sometimes you hear about people dying, I never knew I would have got into this kind of stress."

And now this mother hopes she'll get to leave the city with answers about the murder of her third born child.

Again police are investigating. A suspect was initially detained but he has since been released.
