A 39-year-old Sandhill resident is tonight accused of molesting his 14-year-old stepdaughter. To protect the child we can't tell you his name but accompanied by a social worker, the girl told Ladyville police that her stepfather first had sexual intercourse with her between January and April of 2000 when she was only 8 years old.
She also alleges that he again had intercourse with her on May 30th of 2006. The girl alleges that on both occasions she and her stepfather were home alone.
Her stepfather was today arraigned in Magistrate's Court on two counts of unlawful carnal knowledge. Bail was denied and he was remanded to the Hattieville Prison until May 9th.
