Dangriga Toddler Crushed To Death by Stove

A one-year-old baby girl was crushed to death in a tragic accident this morning in Dangriga.

The baby's mother 37 year old Antonette Flowers says that around 11 am she was at home with her one year old daughter Ann-Marie Martinez. Flowers says she went to use the bathroom and in that split second she heard a noise. When she came out of the bathroom, she found little Ann-Marie under the stove. It appeared that the toddler opened the oven door And sat on it, causing the stove to topple over on her.

The child was taken to the Dangriga Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Her mother has been detained pending the outcome of police investigations and a post mortem.
