Appeal Denied for Crispin Jeffries Jr.

Convicted rapist and former policeman Crispin Jeffries Jr.'s appeal was today denied by the Court of Appeals. His attorney Oswald Twist appealed to the court on 8 grounds. One of those was that the trial judge had failed to direct the jury that little or no weight should be addressed to the distressed condition of the victim. Deputy DPP Cheryl Lynn Branker-Taitt responded and the Cppeals Court denied the appeal.

Jeffries had been convicted of the rape which occurred on March 13th of 2004 at a hotel at mile 4 on the Northern Highway.
