Convicted Cop Killer Gets Life in Jail

Life: that is how long Chadwick Debride will be in jail for murdering a policeman. Last month a jury convicted Debride for murder in connection with the death of Constable Nedi Reymundo who was shot and killed near the corner of East Canal and Bishop Street on Christmas Eve of 2004.

Debride was facing a death sentence but Justice Troadio Gonzalez said death is only reserved for the worst cases of murder. In his opinion, this wasn't one of them.

Reymundo had just left a barbershop and was walking onto Bishop Street when he was killed. There were two eyewitnesses who testified against Chadwick Debride during the trial.
