Burglar Begs Magistrate for Jail Time

She was charged for burglary and today 19-year-old Merlene Clarke asked a Magistrate to send her to jail. That's right. Clarke was charged for burglarizing the home of Judith Mitchell in Ladyville on August 6th. She was charged for stealing a television, a fan, 2 DVD players, and some DVDs. She surrendered to Ladyville Police on Sunday. She pleaded guilty today - telling a Magistrate she was tired of being in society. The Magistrate sentenced her to 3 years in jail.
