PUP Standard Bearer for the Belize Rural North division Earl "Bob Rancho" Perez yesterday donated a motorcycle to the Police Department. The cycle will be used by Corporal Aaron Zuniga who is assigned to Bermudian Landing and the other 9 surrounding villages. Sure, it's a gift from a politician in a political season but yesterday afternoon the acting Commander of Eastern Division Chester Williams accepted the keys to the cycle and says the Corporal assigned to the area will no longer have to walk.

Sr. Supt. Chester Williams,
"It is a trail bike and it will be used in the area of Bermudian Landing, that entire river valley area. Most of the times he was on foot. At some instance we had a little scooter which from time to time experienced serious mechanical problems and it was very inconvenient for him to have been able to do his work effectively. So with this motor cycle now I am certain that it will eliminate all those problems that he was facing before within the area."

Earl "Bob Rancho" Perez, PUP Standard Bearer - BRN
"Corporal Zuniga is a very hardworking officer and half of the time he is on foot, walking around, or on a bicycle or hitchhiking and it was extremely difficult for him to get around and to do his job. I think he is doing a great job under difficult circumstances so I decided to give him a little help to make sure that he continues to do the good job that he is doing."

The cycle is valued at about $4,000.
