He was spotted in Stann Creek on Thursday but prison escapee Terry Bainton, also known as Mark Bainton, was recaptured yesterday in Belize City. He was busted inside a home on Antelope Street. Acting police press officer Bart Jones says police responded to the area after receiving reports about illicit drug activities in the house at number 5 Antelope Street. Jones says police didn't know a fugitive was hiding inside.

"Police responded to information about illegal activities in the area of Antelope Street. They responded to that information and there they searched a number of people, including Mr. Bainton he was taken in to custody. Initially he had tried to give the police a wrong name however we found it to be him and he was taken in."

Do you believe that the other three escapees might still be in Belize City?

ASP Bart Jones,
"Well he was found in Belize City but we had initially had information on Friday that Bainton was seen in Stann Creek so we're looking at all these information."

Has he given you any information as to where the other three might be?

ASP Bart Jones,
"No he hasn't given any information."

Terry Bainton has been charged with escape and committing a mischievous act for giving police the wrong name. Bainton was serving an 11 year sentence for burglary and firearm related charges. He escaped on Monday night October 15th along with Rupert Manzanero, Allan Cal, and Gilbert Requena. AT NEWSTIME Those three were still at large.
