There was a broad daylight shooting this morning on Central American Boulevard. No one was hurt but it left neighbors shaken and family members angry. The shots rang out shortly after 9 in front of the home of Kaylon Matura. He is the man who was charged last month for attempting to shoot Ernest Sacasa. He is now in jail but his sister Lisa Matura says they are being constantly harassed.

Lisa Matura,
“Every time, as a matter of fact you could stand up on that sidewalk there and you could see right there at that phone booth and every time those young boys get high up there, they come down this side and take us as the targets. Every time they get high up so because they can see us right from here. They can see my brother and they can see anybody. It is just like when they went and shot up my brother in law right at that Chiney there. We don’t trouble them, they pass here every day, they pass here 24/7 and no one messes with them. They come mess with us and mess with but we are still in the wrong. We are always in the wrong because we are Matura. They don’t like Matura, the police they don’t like Matura and that is what I don’t like.”

Police recovered 7 expended shells from the scene. No official police report has been issued. Kaylon Matura was charged along with Andrew Willoughby for attempting to shoot Sacasa in early October, that's even though the gun jammed. Another man, Mark Sacasa was shot last night.
