Four years ago, Jason Avila was murdered and yesterday police charged his accused killer. The accused is Calbert Budd, Jr. He was arraigned in magistrate’s court yesterday on a single count of murder.
Jason Avila was gunned down on February 11th, 2003 on Bocotora street. Police had initially detained Calbert Budd junior and his brother Marlon Budd but they were never charged. Marlon Budd has since been murdered and so now only his brother Calbert Junior will be tried.
In court he was denied bail and will make his next appearance on December 18th.
