The Salvation Army is having it’s Christmas party for needy children
Tomorrow, and the final tally isn’t in yet, but it looks like they
will still be short of toys.

but the effort has been getting held form all around – and it got a
sure shot in the arm today when the staff at Universal Health
services contributed hundreds of toys.

7 news was there for the handove.

Rhonda Leckey, Marketing – Universal Health Services
“Actually we heard the cry of the Salvation Army and their need for more toys to fill the little ones with some joy this Christmas so the doctors management and staff came together and contributed these hundreds of toys.”
Major Errol Robateau, Salvation Army
“We were under target and this will give us a big boost. I understand that it’s a little over or around 300 toys so that will help us very much. Tomorrow at the Holy Redeemer Parish Hall, we will be giving out the first 700 toys and on Thursday another three hundred.”
Keith Swift, 7News
“Do you have the 1000 toys that you need?”
Major Errol Robateau
“We believe so. I haven’t yet checked with Bravo as of this morning. But we had about 300 each and we needed at least 400 more for tomorrow. This being 300 will take us to 900, so we are getting there little by little.”

Every little bit does count and today 7news did its part by
contributing one sack of toys.

Still, there are two parties this week, and contributions are currently
being accepted
