Accused conman Lino Herrera was today back before a Magistrate where he was slapped with additional charges and tonight police say there could be more arrests by tomorrow. Yesterday police charged Herrera for buying more than a hundred thousand dollars worth of boating equipment with forged government checks, he was arraigned for 12 forgery related charges and was released on $50,000 bail. And today Herrera was back before a Magistrate where police charged him with 8 more forgery charges. Those are for buying computers from H2Tech and Godwin Moody Computer Services with forged government checks in June.

He was charged with two counts each of possession of a forged document, claiming upon a false document, uttering a false document, and obtaining property by deception. So that's 5 companies that he's accused of conning, and he allegedly did it the same way each time with bogus government checks.

But how did he get his hands on the numbered checks leaves? Well, investigators may have the answer. Dangriga police have detained two government employees for allegedly colluding with the conman. One of the employees is from the Ministry of Health and the other is from the Ministry of Works. Police expect to formally charge them tomorrow.
