You want a grab-tub Christmas party try the PUP candidates which particularly in this election season are famous for them. And while there a few UDP's that do host parties, none does so with as much largess as Michael Finnegan. In fact, his is a Christmas party so big that it needs an entire block and that's why this afternoon the area on Amara between dean and king streets was blocked off. This year in Mesopotamia Area Representative Finnegan had a helper in the name of Mayor Zenaida Moya, Finnegan says it is his way of giving back.

"This our usual yearly Christmas treat for the kids in the area. We
normally throw a big function at Christmas time for the children. They get a gift, they get a plate of food, they get some party bags, and they get soft drinks."

"I came out here to help support of course the Hon. Michael Finnegan, area representative for the Mesopotamia Division and of course I came out here to see the wonderful faces of the little children as they receive their toys and their toys and food and to help hand out the toys and food to them. Cnristmas is a wonderful time of the year and wherever we can assist the City Council is right here."

"In this area and in our country there are a lot of needy people so we provide a little joy for them and it is only fair that we give back to the community. The business community has overwhelmingly come out for the cause and it is a way of giving back to the community."
1,300 children were invited but Finnegan says he catered for 1,500.
