He stabbed his teenage stepson to death during a jealous rage in September of 2006 and now 55 year old Arthur Arnold will spend the next 15 years of his life in jail for that crime. Arnold was charged for the murder of 16 year old Jermaine Arnold but last week he pled guilty to the lesser charges of manslaughter and use of deadly means of harm.
The incident occurred on September 8th of 2006. That’s when Arnold went into the home of estranged common-law wife Carol Arnold and found her there with Randolph Gibson. Arnold thought that was his ex-wife’s new lover and that sent him into a fit. He pulled out a knife and stabbed Gibson. The 16 year old Jermaine intervened and that’s when he was stabbed fatally.
Justice Adolph Lucas sentenced Arnold to 15 years for killing Jermaine Arnold and an additional 2 years for stabbing Gibson. The sentences are to run concurrently. Justice Lucas’ advice to Arnold was that if he thought his wife was having an affair, he should simply walked away. That’s easier said than done for the 55 year old Arnold who won’t be released until he is past 65 years old.
