Six days after twenty-year-old Corozal resident Kenny Elidor Ramirez was found stabbed to death inside his bathroom, the main suspect remains in police custody. Authorities would not discuss the specifics of the investigations only telling 7NEWS that the homicide is being investigated from two specific angles. All indications are that the victim knew his murderer. The Ramirez family believes that the motive is robbery because they say their brother’s wallet and cell phone are missing. They say they will not rest until the killer is bought to justice.

“My message to the person who did it is that sooner or later you will be caught because what you did is not fair. He worked hard for his money. He
is not stealing anything from anyone. He works hard, he works every night, hard at night, and the message I have to this person who did it is that if the police catch you, our family is going to take it to the fullest to have a proper jsutice.”
Kenny Ramirez was an employee of the Princess Casino in the Corozal Free Zone but was on his last week of work when he was killed. The family says he was saving money to relocate to Cancun, Mexico where he had already found employment.
