Fire Destroys Home of PUP Corozal Southeast Chairman

Corozal Police have one man detained for the possible arson of a home in Progresso Village. And it's an alleged case of arson and it's the home of a prominent political figure in that area. Last night at about 9:30 Erlindo Lino's house was completely destroyed in a fire. Lino, who is the Chairman for the PUP in Corozal Southeast had gone to a political meeting in Ranchito Village but his wife was at home. And that's when the fire started. Police tell us they have absolutely no proof that it was arson - though one man - who was making a drunken boast of having set the fire has been detained. At this point the investigation is - we are told - inconclusive and there are more questions than answers.
