He is known to his neighbors as a friendly handyman Jerry but when thirty one year old Jerry Lamb of number forty eight Charlotte Street in the Yarborough area decided to invite himself into a next door residence he may have just lost that trust. On January twenty fifth twenty nine year old teacher Tanya Broaster was sleeping home but she was suddenly awakened by a noise coming from outside of her home. When she looked around, she saw lamb about ten feet away from her window carrying a DVD player in one hand and holding a cloth in the other hand. Broaster later discovered both items missing along with eight glass louvers that lamb had removed to gain access into the building.

Lamb was later picked up by police at his residence and arrested and charged with burglary. Today he pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Sharon Frazer but prosecutor Sgt. Clinton Magadaleno objected to bail based on the fact that Lamb lives very close to the victim and it is feared that he may interfere with her. The Magistrate agreed and remanded Jerry Lamb to Hattieville Prison until February twenty eight.
