There was a shooting late this evening on Caesar Ridge Road. It occurred around 5:20 and police confirm that 20 year old Kareem Gillett and 17 year old Kyle Lambey were shot. Gillett was shot in his right hip and right hand while Lambey was shot in his right leg. When we visited the scene a short time ago, a police scenes of crime unit was collecting evidence. The shooting happened near the home of Terryl Godoy who was on his verandah with his daughters when he heard the shots.
Terryl Godoy, Heard Gunshots
"It is the first time that I live here, I heard three or four gunshots while sitting on my verandah relaxing with my daughters. I was a little bit scared about that because you don't know where the shots are coming from. So I decided to have my daughters go inside and I went behind the yard. I saw two persons with blood on them. I don't know if they really got shot. I believe one of them or maybe two of them probably got shot. These are males, neighbors, people that I know. I saw one of them had his shoulder looked like he had been hit and the shoulder on the other one seemed like he had been hit in the foot."
Again the victims are 20-year-old Kareem Gillett and 17 year old Kyle Lambey. Both are in the KHMH tonight and police are searching for the gunman who was on a bicycle.
