Police didn’t report it until today but there was a major heist from an electronic store over the weekend. The burglars stole $20,000 in designer watches and electronic items. It is the second burglary at Korea Electronics in under a month and the owners say they’ve had enough.

Keith Swift Reporting,
It is sealed now but where this wall stands a burglar bar door was – and that is what burglars ripped open to enter Korea Electronics on Sunday night.

Veronica Choe, Assistant Manager – Korea Electronics
“Monday morning – I would say at about 7:50 in the morning my accountant calls me and told me that we had been broken into again. So from

what he told me, he walked in and saw this side door open and that is when he noticed a lot of stuff missing, goods gone, stuff left behind back there in the yard.”

And the stuff missing was nearly $20,000 in electronics and jewelry - including 6 of these $800 Casio watches, 15 of these $400 fashion brand watches, and one of these $800 bass guitars. This is the second hit at Korea Electronics since they relocated to their new location here on Freetown Road. The first burglary was in mid-December and that just two weeks after they moved here.

Veronica Choe,
“Before Christmas we were broken into once and then the second time.”

Keith Swift,
What did they take?

Veronica Choe,
The first time they took watches, mp3 players, little like small items. They haven’t given us a chance – it’s been like one month and we got hit twice in a span of one month and a half. First time it was $7,000 and this time they went with ten grand more.”

Keith Swift,
Why do you believe that this store is targeted?

Veronica Choe,
“Well I think is one of the major intersections, we are right at Freetown and you know right there is Kelly Street, that is self-explanatory –that street is very dangerous.”

The owner says they have implemented new security measures.
