35 year old Mark Cardenas faces 8 years minimum in prison after being convicted of raping his stepdaughter’s 19-year-old friend in June of 2006. The jury of 5 women and four men deliberated for over 3 hours and his wife was near him in the courtroom when he got the guilty verdict. She showed her support of his claim of innocence throughout the trial. He will be sentenced next week.
