Lauren Panting's Lucky to be Alive

A Belize City woman is lucky to be alive after she was shot by a bullet that was meant for someone else. The victim twenty six year old Lauren Panting is in the KHMH recovering from a gunshot injury to her right arm. Information is that around nine on Sunday night, the woman was on a bicycle in the yard of a well known underworld player who is believed to be the target when a vehicle drove by the residence situated on Holy Emmanuel Street and opened fire.

Panting did not realize that she was hit until she felt a burning sensation to her right arm. Police recovered five nine millimeter expended shells at the scene, but so far have no suspects.
