Corozal Police have been swift in charging the two men who allegedly killed 18-year-old San Antonio villager Erlin Matura on Tuesday night. They are 17-year-old Sensino Rash and 23 year old Valencio Rash, brothers, who also live in San Antonio Village. They were today arraigned in court and have been remanded to custody. Police say they were assisted in the arrest by community members who identified them in the area – even though they sued rags over their faces.

They are still facing additional charges for shooting Stanley Matura. He is the one they were trying to kill reportedly because of a dispute over a stolen bicycle. They allegedly shot him in the head with a sawed off shotgun, but the pellet only grazed him. When they were walking away, the ran into Erlin Matura, who, police say, was trying to ride away from the area. But his chain slipped and when he bent down to fix it, the Rash brothers allegedly thought he was going for a weapon and shot him.
