On Friday 22 year old Eldon Thomas was busted inside an unfinished house where there was 18 kilograms of weed. That’s 40 pounds of weed and today he was charged for drug trafficking. Police say that on Friday evening around 5:30 they were on mobile patrol in the St. Martin’s Deporress area when they saw Thomas coming out of a bushy area. According to them, he ran back into the bushes when he saw them. They pursued him and found him in an incomplete house. It is in there that they also found a sack containing 30 black plastic bags and another 11 black plastic bags separately.
The marijuana was packed off inside the bags, and it weighed in at Just over 18 kilos. Thomas was arraigned this morning and his mom Lavern Gordon told our camera that her son is innocent – just in the wrong place, wrong time.

“My son isn’t in that and they will send him straight to jail. I know they are wrong.”
Innocent or not, Eldon Thomas was denied bail and remanded to the Hattieville Prison until April 28th.
