And those types of violent, unexplained assaults are all too regular in the city, the fairly remote southern village of San Pedro Colombia is reporting an outlandish home invasion.
On Saturday night at 8:30, 43 year old businessman Alumberto Cal was at home with his wife Petrona and kids getting ready for supper when 4 clear skinned men were masks and three-quarter pants entered brandishing 9 milimeter pistols. They ordered the family to lie on the floor, and took away the money that Patrona Cal was counting from the day’s sales at her store. They then took her into one of the bedrooms where she was forced to hand over another ten thousand dollars in cash along with some jewellery.
And after she did all that, the gunman shot her in the leg and then shot her husband before they ran off into the night. Petrona Cal has been treated and released while Alumberto is still hospitalised with a bullet lodged in his leg.
Police are investigating but no arrests have been made.
