Tonight San Ignacio police have no leads into who viciously murdered a sales agent of that town. Around twelve fifty Sunday morning the body of thirty six year old Ali Orlando Flores was found lying face up on the street about one block away from his family’s residence. It is not clear if Flores was making his way home after socializing at the snakar Restaurant and bar where it is reported he was seen drinking beers.
The family says because they know Flores did not go out with anyone they believe that he was followed and then murdered. Flores was stabbed sixteen times to the neck and chest. There were also stab wounds to both hands that indicate the victim tried to fight off his attacker.
But why would anyone want to kill Ali Orlando Flores? Well his family told 7NEWS that they are disturbed and troubled because they do not believe their loved one was killed by someone who tried to rob him. That is because when Flores’ body was found all his identification cards and wallet were intact. The family say when Flores left home on Saturday night he had only fifty dollars which they believe he spent most of it at the restaurant and bar. Only one dollar and change was found in his wallet.
