On Monday night’s newscast we showed you the frightening hold up and robbery that unfolded inside the Garden Shop on Freetown Road. It left one of the culprits nineteen year old Jermaine Gomez dead with three gunshot wounds to the body. Gomez was killed after the store proprietor Dennis Chow fired his weapon to protect his life and that of his customer.
Three days later the other two assailants, namely the gunman identified as Marvin Bradley and his accomplice Stephen Edward Chuc were escorted over to the Magistrate’s Court where they were charged with one count each of robbery. Marvin Bradley was additionally charged with aggravated assault on Rufino Alvarado, the brave machete – wielding customer who had a gun put to his head but still managed to take control of the gunman despite being shot at during the struggle.
On Tuesday Marvin Bradley was also charged for the murder of Christino Madrill. Both Marvin Bradley and Stephen Edward Chuc have been remanded to Hattieville Prison.
