Alfred Shackron, he blazed into public spotlight in April as a fearless whistleblower, a man who claimed he paid Joe Coye hundreds of thousands of dollars for a choice piece of real estate in the Caribbean Shores Area and only got a receipt for $18,000 in return. But, things change and within three months, Shackron wrote to the DPP informing her that he no longer wished to press charges; his life had been threatened, he claimed.

On July 24, Coye’s charge was thrown out of court, and Coye was cleared. But, his name was still sullied, and, now 7NEWS has learned that Coye’s attorney Dickie Bradley is threatening to sue Shackron. According to our reports, Bradley’s letter advises that his client was subjected to embarrassment, libel and defamation for a charge that Shackron knew to be unsubstantiated.

Bradley tells Shackron that the matter could end up in the Supreme Court if an apology and compensation is made to Coye by the end of this week, September 5th. We were unable to reach Shackron for comment to see if he will be delivering any apology or compensation.
