Two days after seventy one year old US national Bertilee Murphy was found dead inside her home in Hopkins Village, investigators close to the case told 7NEWS today that there is no indication that the elderly woman was killed. A post mortem was conducted by Chief Pathologist Dr. Mario Estradabran but he told 7NEWS that the results will not be ready until tomorrow. Because the decomposed body was found lying face up and partially nude, it was suspected that she could have been the victim of a sexual assault, but authorities tell 7NEWS there is no evidence to suggest that.

Just what transpired inside the home remains unclear but we are informed that the police are now looking for one person who may be able to provide key answers. A relative in the United States is the one who first became concerned and alerted someone in the village. The information is that when the family member called the home, a man answered the phone. Police are now looking for him.

Police also report that when they searched the residence, they found everything intact including her passport and money. With all that, they do not suspect foul play. Bertilee Murphy had been living in Hopkins Village for two years where she worked as the librarian in that southern coastal community.
